The Los Angeles Chargers kick off their 2026 training camp with a revamped offense under new coordinator Mike McDaniel. While starters are set, several depth players could emerge as key contributors. Here are the top sleepers to watch at each offensive position group.
Trey Lance, re-signed on a one-year deal, is the primary backup to Justin Herbert. The former No. 3 overall pick brings elite athleticism and rushing upside, traits McDaniel loves to exploit in specific packages. Lance’s familiarity with the system could make him a wildcard in short-yardage situations.
Kimani Vidal is battling Keaton Mitchell for the backup role behind Omarion Hampton. Vidal showed flashes last season, rushing for 643 yards while filling in for injured starters. His ability to contribute in the passing game could secure him a roster spot.
Dalevon Campbell, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound speedster, impressed at minicamp with a 50-yard touchdown. After a brief stint with the Panthers, he returned to the Chargers on a reserve/future deal. His size-speed combo makes him an intriguing red-zone threat.
Evan Svoboda, a converted college QB, is a developmental project with Taysom Hill-like upside. While the Chargers are set at the top of the depth chart, Svoboda’s athleticism could earn him a practice squad spot.
Logan Taylor, a sixth-round pick, offers versatility across the interior line. He played four positions in college and could emerge as a swing backup. Meanwhile, fourth-round tackle Travis Burke has the size (6-foot-9, 315 pounds) and athleticism to compete for the swing tackle job behind Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater.
The Chargers, currently 7th in the AFC with an 11-6 record and on a two-game losing streak, will look to these sleepers to add depth. Their next game is against the Arizona Cardinals on September 13, 2026.
